Forrest Yoga was created by Ana Forrest with the intention to help heal physical and emotional tension and pain. The style is Hatha-based in that there is attention given to breath, holding poses for a longer period of time, enabling the student to feel into their body with breath and awareness. Although a very physical practice, there is always an internal focus in class. Breath and strength are key elements in every Forrest class. It challenges, yet also is an extremely rewarding practice.

Hot Forrest Yoga was led by a brilliant teacher who really reminded the class about the true nature of yogic teachings and gave very clear instructions the whole way through. She made me feel comfortable and not at all self-conscious, removing the superficial focus on how we look when we're practising, with constant guidance to bring the awareness back to the breath and to a greater awareness, beyond the thinking mind. The reception staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, too. I'm really glad I went.
