Having been an avid kickboxer for 10 years, exercise is something I have always been passionate about. I particularly love boxing and kickboxing as it’s so empowering and fulfilling and it’s made me a stronger, more confident person.
I exercised all the way through my pregnancy, although had to cut out the high impact sparring and stick to weights for a while instead! I was really keen to get back into it but it was only once I’d been doing it again for 6 months or so when I realised how careful you need to be after having a baby. You can give yourself some serious damage to your muscles (abdominals and pelvic floor) if you’re not super careful and start off slowly.
Fortunately my recent qualification in Ante and Post Natal Exercise has helped me realise this so I’ve been busy helping other ladies build their strength and stamina (including my own!).
