The style of Yoga taught does not overlook the energy, the mind. It is a complete form of Yoga. It addresses the body, the energy, the emotions and the mind.Because of this strong results are seen through a regular practice - people come with problems in their body, energy, emotions and mind and solve them pretty quickly. In a world which is drowned in an inflation of Yoga which is taught as gymnastics /exercise, however the spiritual and healing benefits come much faster with correct breath / pranayama techniques which in addition to the dynamic sequencing, are a large focus of the classes and work shops.
Three styles of yoga are taught - Cosmic flow which is slightly faster paced vinyasa style with long sequencing, however still easily accessible to beginners. lunar flow, accessible all levels especially beginners and deep lateral flow which is especially helpful for anyone with injuries / lesser mobility in hips / backs to aid recovery and at the same time is a strong class for those wishing to deepen their practice with emphasis more on longer holds than flowing sequencing. Overall beginners find lunar flow and deep lateral flow a slightly easier starting point than cosmic flow. Please contact us to check what classes are on which day if you have a preference.
Tasha's classes are described as light hearted cosmic flow with energising sequences designed to awaken your mind, body & soul. A music based flow with a powerful fusion of dynamic vinyasa flow Shiva Rae / prana flow influenced with the foundations of ashtanga, always concluding with a small shamanic sound bath and guided healing meditation making the whole experience extremely creative and unique. Tasha aims to intelligently weave together her vast knowledge of kundalini, Ashtanga, Hatha, Bikram, Prana Flow and Vinyasa Yoga in a delightful and effective flow, along with strong adjustments & some massage to aid you deeper into your practice. Her thorough teacher training in ashtanga yoga & with Shiva Rae have left her with a great eye for detail in correcting student's alignment and foundation work as well as some kundalini training leaving her with a huge insight into the power of the breathe and how by teaching her students specific breath techniques they have the power to change not just their minds, bodies and emotions but also to change their lives. She believes everyone can live pain free lives if we learn to listen to our bodies and our hearts.
Unlike some spiritual & yogic practices Tasha does not believe we need to suffer in life & during practice to reach our highest state, she believes in a steady light hearted practice enabling us to just go with the flow of life for an effortlessly and boundlessly release from life's unnecessary stresses. All her classes are both powerfully thought provoking and inspiring.
