Flying Fantastic is an Aerial Fitness School. We're here because we love all things aerial – it's as simple as that. We're looking to share the aerial love as far and wide (and high) as we possibly can. That's why we exist. That's what drives us.
Take your fitness to a new level with an Aerial Fitness class. Classes are fun, welcoming, and sociable – and they're a great workout too!
There's nothing more satisfying than getting people off the sofa and into the air. It's a thrill. People are learning something new and having fun. But then something happens. Not long after the first class, there's the muscle soreness. Over time this fades. And it gets less and less every time. But then the muscles kick in. Muscles like never before. Where did they come from? It turns out this aerial fitness thing is pretty effective after all.
Performing strengthening exercises while inverted is one of the most effective ways of building strength. If you incorporate Aerial fitness into your regular work-out programme, you'll see and feel the benefits in no time.
Try to avoid loose fitting clothing. Cover your arms, you knees and your midriff. Cotton fabrics are more compatible with silks than shiny lycra. Jewellery and watches need to be taken off and long hair should be tied back to avoid getting tangled on the equipment. Aerial fitness is also generally done in bare feet as this gives you the best grip. (Thin ballet pump type shoes can also be worn)
Additionally, please try to avoid clothes with zips, like those running leggings that have little handy zips at the back. They're not handy, they're nasty! They damage our silks like nothing else and bite into your skin!
We have beginners at pretty much every class, and a teacher dedicated to looking after first timers, so you'll be in good company and well looked after! No experience necessary – we promise!
