This Hatha Opening Yoga class will create strength & flexibility through your whole body. The focus is to open stiff joints & muscles, and by doing that, releasing emotional blockages and fears which are sometimes the cause of reduced flexibility. The class pace is slow but deep: less Vinyasas and more Asanas to work through at a slower pace. Alternating longer holds with repetitive mindful movements taking you to your own limits. Week-by-week gaining trust and strength to go deeper & deeper. The intention of your mind and patience, are the secret for the manifestation of a flexible body.
As always with Power Flow Yoga classes there is no pressure to perform. Reaching the final asana is not the goal. The goodness comes from the journey into the pose. You will be surprised how quickly your body will change with regular Hatha Opening Yoga classes and an humble attitude. Step-by-step giving you and your body more freedom in life, preventing injuries and preparing you for a deeper expression of some more challenging Asanas.
This class is suitable for all levels with options for beginners.
Safety
Please let the teacher know of any injuries, medical conditions or if you are pregnant. All the instructions given are suggestions and not compulsory. Please listen to your body and stop, or soften, if you feel any pain. The teacher may invite you to push yourself deeper, please do not feel pressured to try too hard, as only you know your limitations. A kind and patient approach is the basis of Yoga. Always make sure your surrounding area is safe before practice. If you decide to try an inversion please keep all sharp objects away from you and maybe place cushions around. We also invite you to bring along a block or a strap, if available, and do not be shy to use it to support yourself when needed.
