Pilates is suitable for many different people and can be totally modified to suit your needs. Many people do Pilates because they’re not fit but it can also challenge the fit person. It is a gentle low to no impact exercise programme. However, it is important to always discuss any injuries and special needs with your teacher so these can be taken into consideration during the class.
Please do not push yourself into pain. Work at your level and gradually increase as able with the support of the teacher. This is so you don’t injure yourself, soft tissues need to gradually build up stamina, release and endurance.
