Self-Realization Fellowship is an international, non-profit organisation, founded by Paramahansa Yogananda in 1920, to disseminate methods of meditation for achieving life's ultimate goal — union of the soul with Spirit (God). Yogananda is the author of the spiritual classic 'Autobiography of a Yogi' amongst other great works.
The Manchester Circle of SRF is a friendly and informal group meeting twice-weekly to join with like-minded souls in the practice of silent meditation. We welcome fellow truth seekers from all paths whether experienced in meditation or not. Our services usually last for two hours and include prayers, chanting, inspirational readings and periods of meditation. We do not teach meditation techniques but these are available in a programme of home study available from our main centre in Los Angeles. The SRF Lessons cover the ancient science of Kriya Yoga, a definite scientific technique for attaining direct, personal experience of God.
