Realign Pilates classes aim too improve strength, flexibility, balance & posture. Increasing your body awareness and lifting your overall sense of well-being.
Classes are kept too a maximum of 12 people so I can observe and correct if needed, therefore booking is essential. The classes are run in blocks & we aim too progress exercises as we go along each week.
There are different styles of Pilates. Realign Pilates is clinical Pilates (Modern Pilates). Influenced by the traditional style brought by Joseph Pilates who worked with athletes, but modified so that it's achievable for the general public, suitable for all ages and abilities. Exercises can be adapted if needed for existing injury's or conditions.
Realign Pilates is gentle and relaxing but at the same time challenging- if you want it to be, progressions will be offered but rest or a softer option is encouraged if needed.
The classes are mat based and we may use resistance bands , spiky balls, small stability balls, light hand weights or balance equipment.
All participants must fill in a health form prior too attending classes, GP consent will be required if there are existing health conditions.
