Circle Dancing is a great way to get gentle exercise while enjoying yourself and feeling relaxed. We use a mix of international traditional folk dances with some choreographed dances. All done to lovely music from many countries especially including Greece and Eastern Europe. Some of the Greek music may remind you of holidays, while other music may seem unfamiliar. Dancing is mostly in a circle or curved line. Each session includes dances with a variety of styles, music, speed and complexity. You don’t need to memorise the steps as there will be teaching or reminders of each dance before dancing it. Many of the dances use the same few basic steps in different orders, you will soon be able to follow the teaching easily, and be able to improve at your own pace. Beginners can come any week. We will always try and make sure you have some feet to watch as you dance.
Wear any comfortable clothing. Flat shoes are best, preferably with soles that don't stick to the floor.
