Traditional Led Primary Series - Ashtanga yoga focuses on a specific sequence of postures (asanas), which are linked through movement (vinyasas) and breath (pranayama). The unique aspects to this practice include engagement of the internal locks (bandhas) and deep breathing (sometimes called “ocean breath”) which are used to assist the regulation of the flow of energy or life force (prana). Ashtanga is an athletic flow combining strength, flexibility and stamina for a complete practice.
