Wednesday nights with yoga! 7-8:30pm. All classes are mixed-ability, suitable for beginners and intermediate practitioners.
Mats, blocks and straps are available on site. We practise barefoot but wear comfortable clothing that does not restrict your movements.
We normally begin with grounding ourselves, focusing on breath. Then we warm up all parts of the body before getting into some more intensive sequences of movement that promote flexibility and strength of particular areas of the body. Every class includes some spinal twists, forward bends, backbends, balances, hip and chest opening postures and more.
The Friend's Meeting House is easily accessible by all modes of transport, but there is no parking available at this venue. If you prefer to travel by foot or bike, you can do so via the path into the Estate from Brixton Hill (near Holmewood Road). Bicycle racks are available.
