We are a community of over 1,500 dancers, a passionate teaching team, four amazing troupes and a small but dedicated team of staff and volunteers. From hole-in-the-wall speakeasies to London’s great dance halls, we’ve built a massive collective energy and made great friendships along the way.

Our teachers are friendly & welcoming and will ensure you enjoy the class. The aim of these classes are to have fun, meet some other Londoners and learn a beautiful, joyful art form. You'll learn the basics of Lindy Hop and Charleston and find yourself swinging out in no time. We also run fitness classes called SwingTrain. This is a really effective cardio dance workout.

We run weekly swing dance classes on London’s Southbank. Swing dance is a collection of dances from the 1920′s, 30′s and 40′s including the Lindy hop and Charleston. Swing dancing is a great way to meet new people, have fun, get some exercise and challenge yourself! No experience required — absolute beginners always welcome! Also, there’s no need to bring a partner or book in advance. Just come along whenever suits you, and get ready for a fun evening out!

To get here, walk down Waterloo Road, past the junction with The Cut (which is the road that leads to Southwark tube station). Just keep walking past the green space on the right, and the entrance is just to the right, on Waterloo Road. The venue is the ‘Living Space’.

We have two halls, in which we run two consecutive classes throughout the evening. Doors open at 6:50pm, where you will be welcomed by our wonderful door people, who will inform you of the evening and how it all works. We recommend anything comfortable that you can move around in. We would also suggest wearing layers as it can get quite hot swing dancing.
