Merel Hijmans and Susanna Syassen are both London Yoga teachers who first met on their mats practising yoga.
After doing a walking meditation with a yoga class in one of London’s central parks Merel and Susanna realised their mutual passion for nature, sustainability and the possibility of bringing the experience of yoga in nature to others.
As Londoners, they realised how very precious the seasons are, particularly spring and summer. That's why they set up Your Yoga in the Park and are offering the opportunity of practising your yoga outdoors this year.
Your Yoga loves nature and we are passionate about preserving it.
We want to share this with you by practising your yoga outdoors.
Our classes are based on nature themes to bring awareness to your connection with nature like simply saluting the sun!
We value the opportunity to make a small difference to your environment and would be grateful if you bring your mindfulness to preserving nature and sustainability with us when practising Your Yoga.
See you on the mat!
London's Hyde Park is one of the greatest city parks in the world. Covering 142 hectares (350 acres) and with over 4,000 trees, a large lake, a meadow and ornamental flower gardens, there's a good chance you'll forget you are right in the centre of London.
Access to your yoga class at Location 1 is easiest from and between Alexander gate entry and Prince of Wales gate entry of the south carriage drive, on the flat grass area near the tennis courts or you may like to access the park from any gate and take a beautiful walk through the gardens on the way.
Location 2 (in case it rains) - The Pagoda - Hyde Park
We embrace rain and sun, yoga nature classes in Hyde park. Should there be any rain up to 4 hours before your class, the class will be located at The Pagoda in Hyde Park. You will be notified by email of this change of location.
