The word Vinyasa can be translated as ‘arranging something in a special way’. It also points at specific series of movements grouped under name vinyasa that are frequently done between each individual asana.
Vinyasa Flow refers to the modern take on Hatha Yoga practice where postures are connected together in a short or longer flow. Students are encouraged to coordinate continuous movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next. It is often referred to as moving meditation. The breathing style name Ujjayi used in a class is a relaxed diaphragmatic style of breathing which resonates in the throat often compare to the sound of waves moving in and out of the shore.
