Why Flexible Strength?
If you experience back/scapular pain when doing mountain climbers, neck pain when doing crunches, knee niggles when doing squats and more...
The class focuses around bodyweight strength and mobility: the thesis is to help you improve your body awareness, mobility and learnings that will carry over to better performance (form, positioning and load) in classes and your own training.
Within a small group of 6 to keep inline with our ethos of small group training, you will go through;
Wrist mobility drills - great for any floor work
Scapular drills - learn elevation, depression, retraction, protraction with exercises like cat/camel, scap push ups
Thoracic drills - understand mid back should have movement to prevent typical lower back pain
Learn to create tension through various isolation holds
Understand the benefits of foot strength and awareness;
Single leg deadlifts and squats
The above is just a taste of what you will be going through in the sessions and our programmes are adjusted on a monthly basis to ensure progression. A great way to ensure that your body is being well looked after out of training and classes.
