Therapeutic Movement Project is all about leveraging the body-mind connection to bring about emotional release, calmness and centering, self-understanding, self-efficacy, confidence and vitality.
Our body moves as our mind moves. The qualities of any movement are a manifestation of how mind is
expressing through the body at that moment. So we find that movement can be a way to observe the expressions of the mind through the body, and it can also be a way to affect changes in the body-mind relationship. Cultivating a finer alignment between body and mind can help us more efficiently function to accomplish our intentions and act from a state of deeper awareness.
Through expertly-guided movement exercises, with the opportunity for free exploration, you'd have a deeper understanding of the meaning behind movement patterns - how your mind, feelings and personality are expressed through movement.
Using imagery of sensation to access an expanding range of physicality will enable you to get a different feel for possibilities within yourself and life, as well as unlock body resources for personal effectiveness and mobilisation towards your goals.
There will also be opportunities to connect more deeply with yourself through finding a home within your body - a place of centred, grounded and authentic being.
Finally, sessions will provide a safe space for you to experience the cathartic release yet contained channeling of your emotions via expressive physicality and the loosening of body tension, so that you may free yourself from unhealthy emotional baggage whilst exploring ways to bring about their resolution.
