Forrest Yoga was created by Ana Forrest with the intention to help heal physical and emotional tension and pain. The style is Hatha-based in that there is attention given to breath, holding poses for a longer period of time, enabling the student to feel into their body with breath and awareness. Although a very physical practice, there is always an internal focus in class. Breath and strength are key elements in every Forrest class. It challenges, yet also is an extremely rewarding practice.
