I am an artist and theatre maker and have lived in Bristol for over 17 years.
I came to yoga after a decade of chronic lower back pain, and after seeing a huge improvement in just a month, my love affair with yoga began. I have travelled a little in India and spent a short spell at the Sivananda Ashram in Kerala, but on discovering the Yogasara Academy in Bristol, the only school in the U.K that offers a Yoga-Tantra teacher training course, I was inspired to train. Their combination of Sutric and Tantric philosophy is woven together with a contemporary understanding of the bodies systems and yogas profound effect upon them, has had a deep impact on my life, and I am burning to share some of these simple and effective practices! I have also been lucky enough to have had some insightful experiences recently while on a Zen retreat with The Western Chan Fellowship, and so will be interweaving the physical practice with Koans, Dharma chat and Philosophy, which is my passion.
Yoga helps us find peace in the body and mind, make us strong and supple, and brings people together. In these crazy times, it feels more important than ever to make space in our lives for self-care, which will not only benefit ourselves but ripples out to our friends, our loved ones and our communities.
