Karis is a Bristol based yoga and natural wellbeing teacher. Yoga styles taught vary from a power vinyasa flow to restorative classes and yoga for family for children.
Alongside yoga Karis teaches bushcraft and survival skills as well as food growing and healthy cooking!
During power yoga classes we find Flow state through connecting dynamic, fast based movement to the breath alongside moments of long, strong holds to channel our dynamic energy. If you're someone who is hyper and has excess energy this is the class for you. Classes are often accompanied by a upbeat Rock playlist with the occasional journey into cheesy pop and dubstep.
During Slow Flow we unwind in reclined and seated positions, taking time to zone in to ourselves through focusing in on the breath in held movements. Before coming through slow and steady sun salutations.
As a teacher I want to create a friendly environment where people feel empowered. For me a yoga class should be a space where people take time to breath, connect and find release. I believe that these tools are essential so that people feel good about themselves and have ownership of their lives, going into the world as their own best version of themselves, spreading kindness amongst everyone.
