Finding focus, connection and calm through the joys of mindful listening.

We live in a beautiful world of sound, and listening should be part of a full and enriching life experience. Yet often the distractions and challenges of the noisy environments we live in mean it can be difficult for us to listen fully and reap the benefits of feeling connected to the world through sound.

Using a special surround-sound system Gary Fawle delivers this active listening session that will give us time to enjoy and explore sound; honing our listening skills and focus to better understand and connect with the world, while exploring ways we may be able to use listening mindfully to relax and cope with the challenges of noise and distraction in our everyday lives.

We’ll explore far-away soundscapes and the sound worlds of our everyday, tuning into the natural world, urban and social environments, as well as the wonders of musical composition, familiar sounds, strange sounds and the sounds of silence.

These sessions are designed for everyone who enjoys listening.
