Fun. Strong. Empowering. This class blends the mindfulness of yoga with HIIT (high-intensity interval training). A fusion bringing together the benefits of yoga, including improving stamina and endurance (activating slow twitch muscle fibres), with HIIT; which activates the fast twitch muscle fibres, tightening and toning as well as optimising cardio capacity. Build stronger bones and muscles while gaining additional joint and muscle flexibility. This class includes a Tabata timing section (4 minute blocks of 20 seconds activity, 10 seconds rest, with 8 rounds in total). Tabata timing is shown to be most efficient for getting all the benefits of HIIT in the least amount of time. Expect to work hard and have fun; this class will get the blood pumping — so you leave feeling energised and invigorated.
