This class uses physical movement to enhance this awareness, acceptance, strength and flexibility of our body and mind.
Awareness and acceptance of how things are is a simple way to bring more happiness and health into our lives and can open up all kinds of insight and understanding.
Using mindful movement and meditation we can develop at our own pace our ability to become comfortable in the present moment. The more we can notice the true nature of our thoughts, our feelings and our sensations, the stronger, truer foundation we have from which to experience and explore this amazing world.
Expect a lovely moving practice with storytelling to help you to ease into your meditative headspace and slowly become more present in the moment.
**For the next six weeks this class will work with the same 21 move sequence, freeing up more of our awareness to notice and passively reduce separation. This could be separation between mind and body, within the mind, within the body, between your self and the surroundings, self and past and future, self and time of year, and within the self. The sequence is designed to allow us to choose the type and level of physical movement that will best serve our efforts to reduce separation***
Fifteen years ago George spent a couple of years in Japan living on an island of Kyushu and was lucky enough to stay with a zen monk in his temple. Since then has been looking to bring peace and energy into everyday life and sharing this with others. His approach to meditation uses movement and storytelling as we explore a little more how to balance and understand ourselves.
