During this class we weave both Sivananda and Hatha together, two very traditional and lovely ancient traditions. In both, pranayama (breathing techniques) are explored and developed to help you flow through your practice, and we will incorporate deep breathing techniques to help centre the body and mind. The wonderful Sivananda sun salutations are a nice change to our traditional ones, and create a lovely flow through the beginning sequence. With the very complimentary Hatha gifting us a pause and mindful stretch and strengthen as we travel through our asanas (postures). We finish the class with a deep relaxation, where the mind, body and breath can really become still.
