A class designed to combat postural habits of 'the modern human'. If you are at a desk most of the day and if being hunched forward, rounding in the back, a strained neck and a weak core sound familiar, this is the class for you.
Inspired by the principles of Forrest yoga, which was developed over 40 years by Ana Forrest, this style of yoga is to directly address the physical and emotional stresses and challenges that we face in our modern lives. The outcome is an inspiring workout that teaches you to breathe deeply and connect in feeling to your body, while creating lift in the chest and lower spine, and bringing big strength back into the core!
Each class starts with breath and warm-up work which gets you connected to your core. We then move into a series of poses that prepare you for an apex pose. Expect to sweat, build strength and oxygenate every cell in your body with long holds of poses and deep breathing. And slowly start feeling and seeing those core muscles develop!
This class is an open level class, suitable for practitioners with some experience in any discipline of yoga.
