Omkariyoga leads traditional forms of Hatha and Raja yoga.
A typical class will include asana (postures), pranayama (breathing exercises), hands-on adjustments, guided relaxation, chanting and snippets of yoga philosophy. I use my direct experience, the wonderful Sivananda teachings and a graceful intelligence to guide me in classes offering a deep, challenging yet playful practice to suit whoever I am teaching. I allow a certain amount of flow particularly in the standing postures. I may even bring in words and music to support the aims of the class. I aim to help participants connect to their own strength, flexibility and power and find inner peace both on and off the mat.
