Nia (nee-yuh) is a barefoot dance-based movement workout that nourishes body, mind and soul - and is all about feeling good.
With its influence in nine different movement forms, Nia blends and borrows elements of the dance arts, martial arts, and healing arts, including yoga. It's all of those things and yet none of those things - Nia has its own energy, vibe and flavour.
Simple choreography is easy to follow and you're encouraged to move at a level that feels right for you.
Every class moves through a natural progression of slow and fast tempos, with an eclectic mix of juicy tunes, including world, jazz, pop, drum n bass, reggae, and chilled out floaty music too.
The best way to find out what Nia is...is to come and try it. This is a friendly, welcoming class for all fitness levels. No dance experience necessary at all!
