Nia is a non impact practice and will improve your fitness levels, ensure you connect with and move every part of your body in a nurturing way, leaving you a bit or very sweaty (depending on the size of your moves - guided by your responsible choices made by listening to your body and how you are feeling that day).
My aim with the class is that you go home feeling connected to your body – refreshed and not exhausted, nurtured but not aching and with a glow that shines inside and out. The class welcomes all ages, fitness levels and body types.
These moves help to stimulate both sides of the brain to help with balance and co-ordination. The benefits of moving the Nia way are Flexibility, Agility, Mobility, Stability and Strength for the body and a sense of calm for the mind and emotions.
Conscious breathing and moving in a relaxed way can bring relief from stress and anxiety. Best of all Nia is great fun and a form of exercise that my students look forward to.
