Thursday evening Iyengar Yoga with Naomi is now at Vic Park Baptist Church.
Now two classes - pick the one that suits you:
Beginners level - 1 hour class. Suitable for complete beginners or students just needing a quick evening revival!
General level - 75 min class - suitable for beginners and those with some experience. We will be working toward shoulderstand and headstand so please bring your equipment if you have any.
Iyengar yoga is accessible to all; young and old, flexible and stiff! The Iyengar method uses props to help with alignment in the poses which means people of all flexibilities can come to the same class. Some students may be offered more props to help with alignment or for support in each pose so that every student gets the maximum benefit out of the pose.
I started Iyengar yoga over ten years ago, when I was diagnosed with CFS/ME. I was a keen runner at that time, but my illness meant that I struggled to get to the end of the road without pain and exhaustion. The way yoga created energy, rather than burnt it up was amazing and I fell in love with it after my first class!
I'm now fully recovered and completed my two year training course to Iyengar Yoga Introductory Level 2.
I also teach at Yogawest and Eastern Yoga.
