Take a pause in your day to slow down, soften, reconnect and move.
Somatic yoga and movement involves moving with attention to how the body feels from the inside, rather than how it looks from the outside. The focus is on fostering a positive connection with your body, rather than achieving a perfect pose, pushing or forcing the movement. With a compassionate and non-judgmental approach, we will track how we feel and notice how movement influences our experience and our energy.
Each class will begin with a short meditation, allowing stillness to provide a foundation from which movement can emerge. After the movement practice, we return to a body-based meditation to complete the session.
This class is open to anyone interested in engaging with the body in a gentle and respectful way, including those new to these practices.
Those working with fatigue are warmly welcome. You’ll be encouraged to honour your own energy levels throughout.
