A confident and inspiring dance professional, Karina teaches weekly classes, monthly workshops, hen parties and performs regularly throughout the South West. Her aim is to make dance available , affordable and enjoyable to as many as possible. With a background in natural health, Karina enjoys encouraging all in her classes to gain confidence and improve their fitness, posture and happiness through fun and empowering classes.
Karina teaches daily in schools and other community settings including residential homes and specialist education. Her flexibility and natural ability to perceive the needs of a class and individuals has given Karina a strong reputation in the dance community for delivering fun, focused & excellent quality dance. Karina also collaborates with a variety of flamenco musicians for performance work.
Karina’s Spanish origin, travelling background and love of dance led her to flamenco. Karina dances with passion and power, her love of the fiery dance is contagious. Having studied the art of the dance both here and in Spain, Karina continues to further her dance with master teachers at Amor de Dios in Madrid, in Andalusia, and in the UK. Teachers include La Truco, Felipe de Algeciras, Paqui de Ronda, Raquel Villegas, Tamara Lopez, Noelia Saborea & Amelia Vega
After seven years of flamenco, a year of teaching and a move to the South west, Karina then took training in Bollywood and other world dance forms.
Highlights for Karina include touring with the New Devon Opera as the lead dancer in Carmen in 2012 and delivering a voluntary dance project for SKCV, an orphanage in India, in January/Febrauary 2013, funded by a scholarship from the Lisa Ullman Travelling Fund
Karina works regularly with Dance In Devon and D.A.I.S.I, holds a full DBS, is fully insured and has vast experience at working with all age ranges, abilities and group labels.
