Matwork Pilates class for those who are hobby or road cyclists 🚵🏼♂️ Class is every other Thursday!
The aim of the class is to improve strength, flexibility and endurance while on longer rides. Pilates is very beneficial both before and after a long ride, to strengthen core abdominal muscles, strengthen upper back extensors and legs for endurance and strength, prevent injury as well as flexibility, taking stress out of the lower back and neck. This Pilates workout can be challenging at times and previous Pilates experience is essential.
Jax, who is teaching the classes, is a STOTT Pilates Matwork trained instructor, with an additional certification through APPI for Pilates for Cyclists. Jax is passionate about cycling, and uses it as her source of adventure!
Some mats are provided on a first come first serve basis, just bring some comfortable exercise clothing and water! Expect a workout! You will be required to complete a medical form prior to starting a class, which will be emailed to you, or completed when you arrive 5 minutes prior to the class commencing.
NOTE: A 1:1 private session must be booked prior to joining the group class if any injuries or conditions exist that are affected must by exercise, for modification.
