A cardio focused dance fitness session based around a selection of worldwide dance styles, including salsa, reggaeton, merengue, cumbia, African, Bollywood, samba, tango, jive, hip-hop, bachata, cha cha, pop - but we donβt take ourselves seriously as dancers, itβs all about giving it a try and having a bit of fun with each of the styles ππ.
Zumba is a fitness class, not a dance technique class - as long as you are standing, moving a little, and happy, that's cool with me βοΈ. Equally, if you want to tear up the floor, sweat every drop you have until your thighs quake, we are here for that too! πͺ
Never tried Zumba? I teach without a microphone ("the Zumba way"!) so it's a case of limited instruction, "do what you see" - there's no way to "get it wrong" if you're there and you're moving β€οΈ. In 16 years of teaching Zumba, I pride myself on (somehow!) attracting the most inclusive groups of participants, resulting in a truly lovely atmosphere for letting yourself loose. I really have seen it all, and I LOVE seeing it all. There are no mirrors, and everyone is so busy watching me for the next move, no one is watching each other despite everyone shaking their stuff.
