Dance, stretching, balance and mindfulness; when the four are combined the result is VeraFlow - and it is powerful! Stretching is an important yet often-overlooked aspect of fitness. Allow yourself the time to relax, whilst improving your balance and flexibility through uplifting choreography to expressive music, relieving tension across the whole body. Class also ends with a mindfulness section, an increasingly popular technique for de-stressing and setting the mind at ease.
"I have never heard of VeraFlow before. Why should I choose this class?" The main thing that distinguishes VeraFlow from other flexibility and relaxation programmes, such as yoga, is the musicality; the dance element. VeraFlow is choreographed to the music, increasing the physical and emotional release felt with each stretch.
All you need is a mat or carpeted area, and if you consider yourself to have very tight hamstrings (ie. it might be uncomfortable sitting on the floor with legs outstretched) you may want to have a yoga block or firm cushion handy too.
