The Primary Series of Ashtanga yoga involves synchronising postures with deep Ujjayi breathing plus the engagement of the 3 Bandhas or energetic locks - Jalandhara, Uddiyana and Mula Bandha. It is also characterised by powerful and dynamic sun salutes to help build a strong frame.
Due to the nature of the Primary Series and its teaching, Wale tends to break down the process into bite size pieces. Often teaching a combination of flow as well as incorporating ‘posture clinic’ – an opportunity to ask questions and fine tune postures.
