Nordic Walking is just like ordinary walking except that you use two specially designed poles to help propel you forward. It has its origins in cross country skiing, so your upper body muscles as well as your legs are involved. It makes Nordic walking a genuine whole body exercise and it can be as gentle or energetic as you want.
Please note - before you join any of our walks through MoveGB we'll ask you to join a one-off Beginner Workshop. This is a one-off session where you’ll learn how to Nordic walk in a small group of people. Here’s the link to our beginners page - http://www.bristolnordicwalking.co.uk/our-walks/beginners . This session is £15. After that all the Nordic walks can be booked through MoveGB.
