This class uses different instruments to create soundscapes to lure you into a peaceful, healing and meditative place. Gentle rhythms and gradual changes in tempo and instruments create brainwave entrainment, helping you to sit in the alpha/theta state (more commonly known as the state you’re in during light sleep, or meditation). This is a wonderfully relaxing experience that allows your unconscious mind to be supported into a restorative state. This is a very gentle session with little talking that will help you to de-stress and relax. The usual instrument will be the wind gong, supported by percussion and sometimes other instruments. Please wear comfy, warm clothing and bring socks as you’ll be lying down for the whole class. There are supportive props in the studio, so come in plenty of time to get yourself settled into a comfortable lying down position with all the blankets and bolsters you need! Due to the nature of this class, we can’t let any students in the session after the start time.
