Iyengar Yoga is one of the most widely practised yoga styles in the world. Using the Hatha Yoga postures – the Iyengar approach incorporates more props and precise instruction to support alignment and stability. Excellent if you have injuries, aches and pains, and is suitable for all ages and bodies.
Classes will be slow paced with clear, precise instruction. The alignment principles you learn in these classes will benefit you in all other styles of Yoga.
If you’ve been attending classes for between 6 months – 2 years (depending how often you come) and are starting to get to grips with the basic poses, alignment and breathing principles - then try these classes. There will be a mix of beginners and those who are more experience and the teacher will offer different options to suit different levels of experience. Not suitable for complete beginners.
