I (the Angie Edwards of AE Dance + Fitness), have trotted off to Australia for my best buds wedding. I'll be back on November 20th. But in the meantime, I'm leaving my wonderful dance students in the very capable hands of Jude and Amy. They'll be covering my classes while I'm away. Amy on Tuesdays and Thursdays. And Jude on Fridays. I'll still be contactable from Oz, so don't hesitate to email me if you have any questions ([email protected]). And I can pass any messages on to Jude and Amy too.
Keep dancing and see you in November!
Emotive. Energetic. Exhilarating. (Sweaty).
Lyrical contemporary is a fusion of ballet, modern, jazz and contemporary. It’s gained a lot of popularity in recent years, thanks to shows like BBC’s So You Think You Can Dance. And it’s perfect for anyone who wants to move freely and with feeling.
In every class, we’ll work on a range of routines. Some will be soft and graceful. Others will be fiery and fast. All of them will be exciting, creative and expressive.
Dance is about feeling good. So my teaching style is supportive, upbeat and motivating. I encourage everyone to feel like they're performing as soon as they step foot in the studio. And I make sure everyone leaves having with a smile on their face and a spring in their step.
Classes are open to anyone and everyone. Generally the 3.45-4.45 class is for people who are looking to start something new, and the 4.45-5.45 class is for people with a couple of years of dance class experience. Any style will be of benefit: our dancers have done all sorts from contemporary to afro-dance, ballet, lyrical and hip-hop.
No formal training needed — just a love dancing and a willingness to have a bit of fun.
I teach lots of classes a week, so have a look around and find a time/location that works best for you
