Cobra Yoga classes are vinyasa-style yoga classes suitable for all levels (modifications/options given according to experience). Beginners are very welcome.
There is an inclusive, welcoming ethos with everyone encouraged to explore their own individual practice.
Sessions focus on alignment in asanas (yoga postures), flowing with the breath and end with savasana (relaxation). Each class is based on a particular theme.
Yoga can bring a wealth of benefits including: improved mobility, strength, stability, flexibility, posture and mental health; it complements other sports well - bringing greater body awareness and attention to areas which may be neglected during other exercise; it can help to counteract the effects of a sedentary job/lifestyle, aids rehabilitation after injury and promotes a healthy body and mind.
The Dance Station is a spacious studio with changing facilities. After entering the building, keep following the signs and the studio is upstairs.
Please wear comfortable clothing, including an extra layer for savasana at the end of the class. Please also bring a mat if you have one, although some spare mats are available.
