This class is based on philosophy and physical practice of the traditional Hatha Yoga, Tantric Yoga and Kundalini Yoga.Each class consists of Sun salutations (Surya Namaskar), Asanas (postures), Pranayama (breathing exercise) and Dhyana (meditation) to bring you the overall benefits and understanding of traditional Yoga practice.The whole class is conveyed in a meditative manner. We close our eyes and direct our attention inwards as much as we can during our practice, using mindfulness to be aware of the physical sensations, thoughts and emotions.In the asanas, after we align our body correctly, we turn our attention to our chakras (the energetic centres in our body), and stay in the asanas for some time to be able to access the deeper koshas ( bodies) of our being.We practice a wide range of meditations, drawn from different traditions, such as Buddhism, Hinduism, Advaita Vedanta, Taoism, Shamanic practice and also a more modern version of mindfulness practice.As much as gaining the physical benefits such as strengthening and increasing flexibility, this class is for everyone who is curious about the spiritual aspects of Yoga and want to take their practice deeper.This class is suitable for everyone, as use of props and variations of poses are always offered.
