A bit about me;
I have been dancing for well over 30 years and have been a professional performer from the age of 16. Exploring different kinds of movement and physical expression has inspired me to discover and train in Ballet, Jazz Tap, Contemporary, Latin, African, Street, Commercial, Break, Eastern, Physical Theatre, Acrobalance, Pole and Aerial Circus. My aim in My Mojo dance classes is to draw from these genres where possible and use them to inspire my choreography. I want to share the passion and power that dance can bring to your life. Yes, it’s fitness, but I think it’s also about expression, freedom and the joy of movement. I try to create a safe and supportive environment where you can move and laugh and shake your wobbly bits without fear of judgement.
I have been practising yoga for almost as long as I have been dancing. I chose to teach Vinyasa Flow and Hatha as I felt they were the most complimentary styles of yoga to my dance background. I like to focus on the breath and fluidity of movement. Approaching my sessions with a sense of calm and release, finding space and alignment moving softly and finding the Asanas (postures) with integrity to each individuals mobility.
