This class is the perfect way to introduce you to your own self-practice and always great to revisit regularly to ground down and check in. There is a slower tempo and more of a focus on alignment.
We begin with Surya Namaskara A & B (Sun Salutations) as a warm-up and continue on to standing poses to cultivate physical and mental focus, symmetry and balance as well as begin the process of detoxification and strengthening. From there we move onto the seated asanas where we hold the space for each and every student to find their own modification at their given level, making the practice accessible for all.
Finally we will enter the finishing sequence to calm, cool and soothe the body and conclude with deep relaxation through Savasana or seated meditation. The MPS class introduces the practitioners to the breathing and movement techniques used specifically in Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga.
