Vajrasati Yoga is a style of yoga that allows us time to find ourselves in the posture, allowing time to play, notice and negate our habitual patterns both in the body and in the mind. We use props to give bodies the support they require, for us to give more deeply to the practice. This is a great class to learn about the anatomy of āsana practice and additional limbs of yoga such as meditation and pranic breath. We will close each class with a yoga nidra, a form of yogic sleep, which is not dissimilar to a meditative body scan. We use yoga philosophy to hint at how to include it on the mat and in our lives. Holding our sense of self lightly and with a little humour ️ this class is fun, friendly & a great stress relief, welcoming new comers to yoga.
