Yin Yoga is the perfect complement to modern life and high intensity exercise. In Yin we release the muscles and work into the connective tissues making space in the body. We hold mostly passive poses for about two to five minutes to work our connective tissues. The more we work our fascial system and deep tissues, the less dense and tight our bodies become as we age
There are three principles that we will work with in the class – coming into the Yin shape so you can feel an edge, finding stillness in the body and the mind and staying in the shape for some time. There is a sense of deep relaxation and release of tension at the end of class.
