Chief Instructor Wayne Teall, 6th Dan, has over 40 years teaching experience, and those training with him can do so safe in the knowledge UBSK Norton Radstock Shotokan Karate Club instructors are fully qualified, insured and DBS/CRB registered. Classes are open to all ages both male and female, where we welcome all standards and abilities, both beginners and experienced karateka. For complete novices considering taking up karate our lessons are designed with a strong emphasis on health, fitness, and self defence in a friendly, non-confrontational environment. At UBSK Norton Radstock Shotokan Karate Club we appreciate that people can be put off starting karate as it is perceived to be too aggressive or something primarily for youngsters, neither is the case at our club, where all ages and abilities are most welcome, and indeed the club has no maximum age limit. The only quality a beginner needs is enthusiasm and a willingness to learn. In addition we offer separate early evening lessons for children.
