This 6 weeks foundation course into Ashtanga Mysore style, will give you the solid ground to begin building one of the most rewarding healing sciences, the Ashtanga Vinyasa practice.
The course is content-rich and will cover from knowledge of the lineage, the life and work of the father of Ashtanga yoga - Sri Krishnamachary and his loyal student and supporter, Sri PAttabhi Jois, to the sequence itself, what makes it so powerful and how to build a solid and safe practice. The Chikitsa sequence or also known as The Primary series of Ashtanga is going to be broken down into fragments that will be worked through gradually and over time.
You will learn techniques, intermediate options of various poses, their Sanscrit names and meaning, you will be helped and adjusted to your own level. You will be given the understanding of the powerful effect of Ashtanga Vinyasa for the alignment of the mail Chakral system.

The course if goes further beyond the physical superficial level of the practice but into the spiritual, philosophical and physiological depths of this incredible practice.
The format of the course:
You will be required to attend all 6 theoretical workshop sessions, starting at 7h30am for one hour.
After the theoretical part you will continue from 8h30am until 9h15am to practice the material covered in that workshop.
You will receive assistance from your teacher where needed and only after you have grasped the current content of poses you’ll be given the next one.
The course requires you to book two sessions - first one is the 7h30am and second is the 8h00am from the classes time table.
