What is a Slow Down Friday class like?
This class is your opportunity for an hour of meditative movement and stillness. It’s a smorgasbord of delicious restorative practices all rolled up in a tidy 60 minute online (live or recorded) package. Every month there will be a theme and the class will include a hand (hasta) mudra, a little breathwork, a flowing asana sequence, a couple of long-held challenging yin poses, a couple of restful, restorative poses and a guided relaxation.
The intention is always to S L O W D O W N and R E L A X. Change and shifts can happen when we are still and quiet and we can then explore sensations, thoughts and feelings within safe boundaries.
Is the class suitable for me? Everyone is welcome but remember you will be practicing at home and will need to listen to your body. If you have any concerns, please contact me.
When do I receive the zoom link? The class is via zoom and I email you the link the day before the class. I also sometimes send an email a few hours before the class with a list of suggested useful props (the sort of things you can find at home – stools, belts, cushions, blankets).
Can I make a late booking? Absolutely – and you can even book half hour before the class. If you book to attend live and can’t come for any reason, you can simply request the recording instead.
How do the recordings work? It’s the same price to buy the class recording as to attend live. I send the link for the recording just after the class in an email. You can then use that link for at least a month after the class. If you attend the class, you can also request the recording at no extra cost. Just ask at the end of the class.
If you are new to classes with me, I would ask you to complete a new student form - here’s the link: https://brightblueyoga.wufoo.com/forms/zo23jfx17j62hy/
This class is currently via zoom. You have the link from MoveGB but I usually email everyone the link the day before the class too.
I look forward to seeing you in class!
