This class is designed for people who want to learn the Chen-style Tai Chi form, which is a sequence of 74 postures which, when learned, becomes a continuous movement pattern - a self-contained exercise routine and meditation. Ideally this class should be attended with its sister class, Tai Chi Excerises, but it isn't necessary. In this class you will learn the sequence of movements, the principles of Tai Chi, as well as the purpose of each movement. You will also gain all the mental and physical benefits that Tai Chi has to offer. During the later class between 21:00 and 22:00 there will be more focus on partner work: Pushing Hands.
Learning the Tai Chi form requires a long-term self-learning commitment. This isn't for everyone as it can take 18 months to 3 years to learn the complete long form that I teach. So if you want to benefits of Tai Chi without the long-term learning demands, I recommend you try my Tai Chi Exercises class instead.
