Mysore style classes are a traditional way of practising Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga. A Mysore class is where students are taught individually but within a group setting using a set sequence of postures. A typical class contains a range of students from absolute beginners to seasoned practitioners. Everyone practises the same set sequence of postures which they learn one at a time when they are ready. The classes are mostly silent except for the breathing of other practitioners and the occasional voice of the teacher, who uses both verbal and hands on instruction. The class is both guided and supported by experienced Ashtanga teachers.
These inclusive classes are fun, flowing, energetic and calming are for all ages and abilities.
The only requirement is a flexible mind and a willingness to learning through the practise.
