About the Role
We're looking for an analyst who's passionate about understanding business models and customer behaviour. As a fast growing company we track our product performance and all our customer interactions - and use the data to consistently improve the rate at which we attract, monetise and retain our customers. Typical responsibilities may include:
Providing ad-hoc analysis to various employees in the business
Building custom analytics dashboards
Automating processes and analytics
Turning more complex data analysis into easy to understand stories and outputs that will inform people in decision making
ETL and database administration
Playing a part in bigger long-term analytical projects
Updating stakeholders, explaining key trends and findings
Helping product teams estimate impact of new features / changes to functionality and tracking the actual impact after release.
Who you are
Analytically minded with a high attention to detail. You’ll have a keen interest in technology and keeping up to date with the latest developments. You’ll have some development and programming experience. You must be friendly and approachable as you’ll be frequently liaising with members from all different areas of the business. It’s important that you can decipher what people are really asking for from a technical point of view with the ability to explain complicated processes to a 5 year old (and therefore your colleagues!)
Proven data engineering or development background with a minimum of 1 year’s experience
Degree in scientific subject or equivalent relevant experience
Confident in SQL
Excellent numerical and analytical skills
Comfortable with percentages, ratios and basic probability
Organised with ability to multi-task and prioritise
Some knowledge of data analysis tools e.g. Excel, Python, R, SAS, SPSS, MATLAB
The ability to produce clear graphical representations and data visualisations
Happy to work outside core competency where a project needs more than just analysis - e.g. deploying/maintaining production machine learning algorithms, taking responsibility for these being production-quality
Experience building custom analytical dashboards
Data visualisation - D3.js, Python, R
Knowledge of data modelling, data cleansing, and data enrichment techniques
Google Analytics, SEO, CRO, A/B testing
ETL, event processing
The capacity to develop and document procedures and workflows
An awareness or knowledge of the fitness industry

Salary between £30,000 and £45,000 depending on experience
